The Minnesota Timberwolves begin their preseason games October 9th in Toronto against the Raptors. The Timberwolves regular season begins October 30th at home against the Orlando Magic.
This year, the Wolves have a very young team. They have five rookies who include Lorenzo Brown from NC State, Gorgui Dieng from Louisville, Robbie Hummel from Purdue, and Shabazz Muhammad from UCLA. The rest of the players on the roster include Kevin Martin, Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love, JJ Barea, Corey Brewer, Chase Budinger, Dante Cunningham, Nikola Pekovic, Alexey Shved, Ronny Turiaf, and Derrick Williams.
This offseason was a big step forward for the Timberwolves. After signing Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer, and Ronny Turiaf in free agency, the Wolves have a strong starting lineup and solid reserves. Hopefully, the Wolves can make the playoffs this season for the first time since 2004.
