The Timberwolves played their first NBA preseason game Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors. In the 101-89 win, Kevin Love led the Wolves with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Ricky Rubio had 9 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds. Kevin Martin only had 4 points in his Timberwolves debut. Robbie Hummel, Chris Johnson, A.J Price, and Shabazz Muhammad did not play because of a coach’s decision. The first half of the game was high-scoring and evenly matched. After a last second 3 pointer from the Raptors, they led by 4 at the half. In the third quarter, the Wolves turned things around and ended the quarter up by 8. In the fourth quarter the Wolves played solid. They built on their lead, and ended up with their first win of the preseason.
