Vikings Win in London

The Vikings just barely held on, but in the end they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 34 - 27 to get their first win of the season. Matt Cassel started for the injured Christian Ponder. He completed 16 of 25 passes for 248 yards and 2 touchdown passes. Jerome Simpson and Greg Jennings had two big games also. Simpson had 7 catches for 124 yards. Jennings had 3 catches for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns. Adrian Peterson was the leading rusher. He had 140 yards on 23 carries with 2 touchdowns.


The Steelers starting quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, had 36 completions for 383 yards. Leading rusher, Le'Veon Bell, had 57 yards on 16 attempts. Leading receiver, Jerricho Cotchery, had 103 on 5 catches. The Steelers had 4 penalties for a total of 50 yards.

The Vikings have a bye this week, then host the Carolina Panthers the next week.
