The first thing I look at when searching an ad on Craigslist is the brand; I prefer Polaris. Next, I look at the miles; my maximum would be 3,500 miles with nothing done to the engine. Then you're going to want to look at the pictures if there are any. If your see damage, I would back away from it instantly because that normally means it was rode hard. Finally, you're going to want to call the person and arrange a place to meet. When you are there you're going to want to check everything out: track, seat, hood, skis, under the hood, and chain case for metal. Ask what it was used for and where. Then you are going to want to talk price down as much as you can, and then hopefully you can purchase this. These are the things I look at when buying a sled.
