On Tuesday April 8th, 2014 there was a Varsity track meet at Olivia. The girls placed 1st, and the guys ended up in 6th place out of 7 teams. This meet was considered a “practice” seeing as it was our first meet. Our coach said she saw a lot of good things, but we are still out of shape!!! With our guys being a team of 10, we did pretty well and girls are still dominating the competition as usual. The results are as listed.
BOYS
800m Run- Ruben Astorga 4th place in the with a time of 2:27.99
4X200 Meter Relay(Ken, Ben, Jacob, and Ruben)- 5th place with a time of 1:54.17
Shot Put- David Jasso 5th place with a throw of 37 ft. 9in.
Discus Throw- David Jasso 6th place with a throw of 7 ft. 1.5 in.

400 meter dash- Cassidy Hacker 6th place with a time of 1:14.18
2 Mile Run- Brianna Polesky 1st place with a time of 12:41.95
4x100 meter relay- 4th place with a time of 56.2s
4x200 meter relay- 1st place with a time of 1:56.05
4x400 meter relay- 4th place with a time 4:45.02
4x800 meter relay- 3rd with a time of 11:13.00
