It’s crazy how fast the tennis season is going! With seven regular season matches already under our belts, the River Valley Wildcats are currently 4-3 on the season. Just yesterday we had a very close tennis match against Fairmont. We ended up losing 3-4 with one doubles being the determining match. Overall, the season is going pretty successful and we plan on keeping it that way. Our next match is home on Thursday, September 4th against Maple River. We just played them last week and defeated them 5-2. Like some teams, we had the great advantage of not having any seniors graduate this past year. With everyone returning back this year, our team already had a solid foundation of what we wanted to accomplish and how we wanted to accomplish it. Even though we saw everybody return for the 2014 season, there has been some major improvement among almost all of the players. Compared to last season, we have been playing very competitive with a lot of the top teams in our section, and there have been a lot of very close matches. With playoffs being right around the corner, we are hopeful to get a good seeding!
