Fall sports have officially begun at Sleepy Eye High School. The tennis team has already played seven matches with five wins! The volleyball team won their season opener on Tuesday night in straight sets against Truman. They played again Thursday night against Martin Luther and won in straight sets again. They lost last night to Mankato Loyola. The football team opened their season at home last Friday against the Cedar Mountain-Comfrey Cougars. They played well but couldn’t pull out the win. They play St. Mary’s this Friday night. The Cross Country team has also had a meet in Sleepy Eye, which the girls team won. This many wins this early in the season hopefully means some deep runs in the playoffs!
