Tomahawk Conference Basketball Preview

The boys basketball season finally gets underway November 10. The top teams in the Tomahawk Conference this year will be GFW, St. Mary’s, and New Ulm Cathedral. GFW will be led by Junior guard Seth Schuette and Senior guard Jack Bussler. They will be a difficult matchup for every team they play because they have experience, depth, and talent in the starting lineup. St. Mary’s will be very experienced as most of their team will be made up of seniors. They will be led by Seniors David Surprenant and Jared Rothmeier. Our first crosstown game against the Knights is December 2. The New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds will also be very tough this year. They will be led by Seniors Jacob Gangelhoff and Brandon Beranek, and Juniors Jack Schwartz and Michael Skillings.
