On November 20, The New Ulm Eagles Men’s hockey team will travel to Worthington to face off against the Worthington Trojans in the season opener. This will be the first game of the recently created “Big South” Conference. The Eagles will hope to start the season with a win. This year, the men’s hockey team is flooded with experience; in fact, there are 16 returning varsity players coming back from last year’s section final game. This should be beneficial for the Eagles this year as they begin to work their way back into the season. The varsity team captains this year are Brandon H, from St. Mary’s, Wyatt P, from New Ulm Public, and Matt B, from Sleepy Eye Public. Overall, it should be a very successful season for the Eagles.
