The Sleepy Eye girls played their first two games on Friday, November 28th, and Saturday, November 29th. On Friday, they played Christ's Household of Faith and Sleepy Eye came away with the win of a score of 54-50. They were led by Josie S with 20 points and 8 rebounds. On Saturday, they played Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, and Sleepy Eye came won with the score of 65-25. On Monday, December 1st, the girls will play on against Cleveland and on Friday, December 5th vs. Buffalo Lake-Hector Stewart. The girl’s team consists of four seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and five freshmen. The girls are one of the most favorited teams to win the conference this year.
