This season, the girls basketball team is currently 19-5. Our last regular season game will be on 2/23/15 at Redwood Valley, which is a non-conference game. Our season has gone very well, but there has been a few ups and downs. Our five losses have all been conference games. We lost twice to Springfield (78-58 & 71-67), twice to Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (59-48 & 55-53), and once to G-F-W (63-43). We would say that four out of those five losses should have been wins, but sometimes things don’t go our way.
Our team is made up of three seniors, two juniors, one sophomore, and five freshmen. We have a very balanced squad, with having leading scorers almost every other game. We feel that our team plays very well together. We all get along on and off the court.
For playoffs this year, we received the 4th seed. Our first match will be against New Ulm Cathedral (5th seed). We have an advantage going into the game, as we get to play on our home court for one last time this season.
We hope to see you all out supporting us at our 1st round playoff match on March 2nd, wear orange!
