Minnesota Wild Clinch Playoff Spot By: Kyle

Last night the Minnesota Wild played the Chicago Blackhawks. The Wild needed to win during regulation or overtime to clinch a spot in the playoffs. The game was not physical, but it had a lot of puck movement. The first period was back and forth with no scoring. After the second period, there still was no score. The first two periods ended up being a goalie war. Half way through the third period, Minnesota’s Mikael Granlund scored the games first goal. The Wild scored another a few minutes after. With just over a minute left, the Blackhawks put one in. Minnesota pulled off the victory and clinched a spot in the playoffs. This is their third consecutive year of being in the playoffs.
