Zayn Malik By: Jackie Linan

Zayn Malik, originally spelled “Zain”, is an English singer/songwriter. He has one older sister and two youngers ones. Zayn grew up in East Bowling located south of Bradford. In 2010, he auditioned for the X-Factor, but did not make it as a solo artist. Instead, he was put into a group with four other members and together they named themselves “One Direction”. In March 2015, Zayn announced he was leaving One Direction to begin a solo career. As of now, he is writing and recording new songs.
