France may ban child beauty pageants. The senate in France voted to ban child beauty pageants for kids under the age of 16. What’s the reason? In 2010 there was a controversial photo spread in Vogue with a 10 year old girl in high heels and sexy makeup. Critics say that the pageants are sexualizing our young girls. Many of the people in the U.S. agree. Viewers also agree on the fact that young children at the age of 3 or 4 are exposed to tons of makeup, high heels and fake tans.
