The Oregon Ducks destroyed Nicholls State on Saturday with a 66-3 win. The Ducks running back, De’Anthony Thomas, ran for a total of 128 yards and got 2 touchdowns. Playing for Nicholls State, Andrew Dolan made a 35-yard field goal to put them on the board. Last year Marcus Mariota set an all time record for the Ducks with 38 touchdowns as a freshmen. In Saturdays game, Marcus completed 12 out of 21 passes for 234 yards. At this point in the game the Ducks were up 45-3, so Marcus sits the 4th quarter. Terrance Mitchell, the Ducks’ quarterback sacked Beaux Hebert late in the first quarter and got kicked out for targeting.
Oregon's next game was against Virginia. The Ducks won 59-10. It was 3rd Down with 5 more yards to go for the Ducks. Marcus Mariota, The Ducks Quarterback ran for a 71 yard touchdown putting the Ducks in the lead 7-0 in the first quarter. Mariota ended up with a total of 4 carries for 122 yards. Mariota also threw 2 touchdown passes to Bralon Addison and Keanon Lowe. The Ducks running back, De’Anthony Thomas, ran in three touchdown to put the Ducks up 59-10 at the end of the game. Thomas ended up with a total of 11 carries and 124 yards.
