Today is Katy Perry’s 29th Birthday. Katy rose to fame in 2008 after she released her hit, “I Kissed a Girl,” and was voted Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2012. As a daughter of two pastors, she was not allowed to listen to anything but Gospel music while growing up. She has written songs for Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale. She got married to Russell Brand on October 23, 2010 and then they divorced on July 16, 2012.
