Over Reacting

By Tyler W

Bullying is starting to be overrated. The reason for that is all across the nation  schools are having lyceums. They are basically encouraging kids to tell on every little thing that happens to them. Of course, bullying does happen to kids, but people are taking it way too far at this day and age. You can say one mean thing to one kid as a joke and they will overreact and call that bullying. That kids’ family will end up suing you or you will get kicked out of school. Also, some people think bullying happens over night, newsflash, bullying is a long term occurrence. The definition of bullying is to use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.  No where in that definition does it say anything about calling people names and/or making fun of them. People need to realize that bullying isn’t calling people rude names etc. It’s about making people do things for your own personal gain.
