Today is Ozzy Osbournes 65th birthday. He gained fame as the lead singer of the band, Black Sabbath, and became known as the Prince of Darkness and the Godfather of Heavy Metal. He was abused by teachers while growing up for having dyslexia and other disabilities. He worked as a plumber and as a slaughterhouse employee while listening to The Beatles. Black Sabbath’s 1970 album, Paranoid, included the iconic metal songs, “Iron Man”, “War Pigs”, and “Paranoid”, which was written in 25 min and hit #4 in the U.K. Billboard. He got married to Thelma Mayfair in 1971, and after their divorce in 1982, married Sharon Osbourne on July 4, 1982. He sang the number one hit single, “Changes” with his daughter, the pop singer Kelly Osbourne.
