The 50 States

Most people have future goals in mind that they would like to achieve within their life. Over time, they may be altered to fit their personalities or hopes of what is to come in their future. Like most of the human population, many of my goals have been changed or discarded completely since I was young. However, there is one that has followed me since childhood. The idea of being able to visit every one of our 50 states would be so much fun!

I have always wanted to see the 50 states in my lifetime, and I plan to complete this. Already having been to 21 different states, Washington DC, and touched both oceans, I have been lucky to be part of a family who values vacation times. However, we don't vacation quite like others do. Most families take time and plan out their vacations; ours on the other hand are much more fun. I remember once my parents had awaken us at 2 am, and just decided we would go on a vacation. We quickly packed, and sat at the end of our driveway, trying to decide which way to go, and then we would just drive. Through out my time going town to town following any old road, I've seen many different and amazing landmarks that are unique to their states.

For this reason, each week I plan to highlight some of the most unique characteristic and famous places of a state that are a must see when travelling. For those unable to hop in their car and drive, this may be able to let you tour each state or even influence your next family vacation.
