First Round of NFL Draft Complete By: Zach

The first round of the NFL Draft 2015 went under way last night on April 30th. The draft had many questions on who would be picked where and by what team. The biggest controversy of the draft, however, was on who would be drafted first overall by the Buccaneers. The two main players who were considered contenders were: the quarterback from Florida State, Jameis Winston, and the quarterback from Oregon, Marcus Mariota. In the end, Winston ended up being the choice, and Mariota went second to the Titans. There were many other good picks in the first round including USC’s Leonard Williams going 6th to the Jets, and Michigan State’s Trae Waynes going 11th to the Vikings. Overall, the first round was a night of success and a foreshadowing of the future stars of the NFL.
