National FFA Convention 2015

On October 26th, about 30 FFA members went on a 13 hour drive to Louisville, KY. Many went for their CDE Teams, to receive their American Degree, or to just be a delegate. The CDE’s did very well, Sr. BIG Team got 7th place out of 47 teams, and the Jr. BIG got 19th place out of 46 teams. Milk Quality got 4th place, Dairy Cattle Evaluation got 11th place, and Poultry got 20th place. Our chapter received a 3 Star National Chapter Award, we were the only chapter in Minnesota to receive this award. Overall our teams tried their best and did very well. The people who received their American Degree were Austin T, Miranda M, and Jamie F. We also got the opportunity to go to many different tours. We were able to go to a glassworks tour, Louisville Slugger, The Kentucky Derby, a candy factory, and we also went to a Clare Dunn and Kip Moore concert. Those four days in Kentucky were very fun and unforgettable moments with FFA members.
