After months of talk and speculation, Samsung has confirmed that they will be announcing it’s Galaxy Gear Smartwatch at the annual IFA technology tradeshow in Berlin on September 4th. Apple and Google have been working on competing smartwatches, but the spotlight is on Samsung at the moment. Lee Young-Hee, the executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, has emphasized that it will not have a flexible display. Samsung did not immediately give details on the watch and U.S. availability. With most products that are shown at this particular European trade show, the products usually tend to go to other countries first.
