Last week the Timberwolves won three of their five games. They beat the Lakers, the Cavaliers, and the Celtics. They lost to the Clippers and the Nuggets.
Against the Lakers, the Wolves scored a team record of 47 points in the first quarter. They lead by 19 points at halftime. Kevin Love had 25 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Martin had 27 points and 5 rebounds. Ricky Rubio had a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. Nikola Pekovic had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Corey Brewer also added 17 points.
In the Wolves 2 point loss against the LA Clippers, Kevin Love, Kevin Martin, and Nikola Pekovic all had huge games. Love had 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 7 assists. Martin had 30 points and 3 assists. Pekovic had 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Clippers won that game, 109-107.
After a day off, the Wolves got back to basketball Wednesday night and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 124-95. Kevin Love had 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Ricky Rubio had a double-double with 16 points and 16 assists. Corey Brewer scored a season high of 27 points.
Against the Denver Nuggets, the Wolves lost 117-113. Kevin Love had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Kevin Martin had 27 points. J.J Barea added 21 points.
In their final game of the week, the Timberwolves crushed the Boston Celtics, 106-88. Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic both had double-doubles. Love had 23 points and 12 rebounds. Pekovic had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Kevin Martin also added 20 points and 6 rebounds.
