Blood drive Info

This year, we had our annual blood drive which was held on Wednesday, November 12 in the high school gym.  We had 68 staff, students, and public residents signed up. There were only 4 deferrals and 2 incompletes, which is really good for a high school blood drive. We were fortunate to have two double red machines and we were able to keep them running throughout the drive with several of our students qualifying. 8 of 13 double reds completed. We had a total of 52 whole blood donations. Our goal was 51 units and we went over our goal by 14 thanks to the public donors and many students. There were 18 first time donors from our school and 6 appointment or walk ins from the adult population!

We also had over 60 donations, so that will double the American Red Cross Scholarship to a senior worth $500 rather than $250 which we have had in the past. As of now seniors that are qualified are Wyatt K & Justine G.
