Life Hacks

Everyone has a busy life, and hopefully some of these life hacks will help make everything work a little bit more smoothly.


  1. Sugar can cure a burnt tongue.
  2. Icy sidewalks or steps? Mix 1 teaspoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid, 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol, and half a gallon of hot water. Pour over icy areas and it won’t refreeze or eat/chip the concrete like salt does.
  3. Eating chocolate at least 5 times a week it can reduce the risk of heart disease by 60%.
  4. It’s hot chocolate season again, but if you really want to make the best hot chocolate this year try warming up milk with nutella.
  5. You can make your handwriting neater by simply loosening the grip on your pencil.
  6. Hitting snooze on your alarm can make you more tired than if you had gotten up right away.
  7. Believing you have a good memory will actually help you have a better memory.
  8. Can’t get a splinter out? Apply a paste of baking soda and water, then wait for the splinter pop out of the skin.
  9. A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.
  10. Do a Google IMAGE search for “Atari Breakout.” Have fun!
